The Making of an
Artwork
This is a video I shot and edited myself, capturing the process of creating an Artwork, from Inspiration to Hustle to the final Product.

The Video was Featured on Wacom India's Instagram Page.
We live in a time when the process of creating a piece of art has, in some people's opinion become so redundant, owing to the ever expanding field of Artificial Intelligence and AI generated "Art". The process of creating an artwork is reduced to mindlessly typing a few strings of random keywords into a chatbox, and getting super detailed, artistically mind-blowing yet unintelligent pieces of visuals. Sure, AI has learnt to differentiate between the impressionist brushstrokes of a Monet Painting and flawlessly blended masterpiece of a Da Vinci Painting. And yes, AI has indeed figured out where to make use of an Impasto technique and where to put Sfumato into use. But what AI has not been able to learn, and in most probability, will never be able to learn is how to intrinsically create something out of pure inspiration, and not just because the output needs to fit the given brief. It can never perceive the feeling of getting the jolt of inspiration and energy out of the tiniest things in life, and translating that energy on the paper, the canvas, the marble or even the digital screen.

While the debate around 'Artist Vs AI' continues to spark innumerable comment-wars on the internet, I still feel honoured and privileged that each day I get to get up from the bed, and do my craft with my passion. And while we still have time until AI learns how to 'think' original thoughts, we have the upper hand.
